Two Little Boys

An Antipodean Spectacular:Two Little Boys, is a musical based on an original concept by Owen Visser and intends to make it's debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2012.

Join our two little boys (the Australia-obsessed Duncan and Rob) on the adventure of a lifetime, as they search for a magical didgeridoo which shares the name of their hero - Rolf Harris. Armed with a "Rolf" detector and a magical VW Camper Van named Matilda, the boys stumble across several "Rolfs" all as passionate about Australia as they are. The new friends join the two boys on their quest, singing the Australian classics all the way!

Incorporating the songs that Rolf Harris made famous, and the instruments he pioneered, this musical comes with a promise to be more than just spectacular.

Stardom

Stardom: The Musical was Jamie's first musical written for fellow students at Braintree College in 2004.

With financing raised by the students the production was mounted as the end of year production, with enthusiastic audiences in attendance every night.

The musical follows the life of a girl called Susan Bones as she shoots from obscurity to stardom by winning a reality TV show. Unable to keep her feet on the ground she turns her back on her friends, prefering her new "celebrity" mates. Unable to cope with such a massive change of lifestyle, Susan finds herself in rehab. Once she is dropped from her record label she is left with no-one to turn to, has she paid the real price of fame?

Two years earlier Will Young had won the first series of Pop Idol and a few months later The X Factor would appear on our screens for the first time. Since then reality series searching for musical talent have become commonplace.

Many years later another "SuBo", Susan Boyle, was to find stardom through the TV series Britain's Got Talent and famously had a short stint in re-hab. A musical of her life is set to hit the stage in 2012.

Are the similarites to Stardom a co-incidence or just exceptional foresight!
